What You Need to Know

Park rules, ECV restrictions, booking tips & more
📏

Stroller Size Limits

Disney requires strollers fit within a 31" × 52" footprint. Universal allows strollers up to 31" wide × 52" long. No wagons or wagon-style strollers at either resort. Oversized strollers must be checked or left outside.

🎢

ECV Ride Restrictions

ECVs cannot board most monorails, skyliner gondolas, or ferryboats while occupied. On Hogwarts Express, you must transfer to a manual wheelchair at the boarding station. Some high-intensity rides require parking your ECV and walking to the queue.

📅

Book in Advance

Third-party ECVs and premium strollers sell out during peak seasons (spring break, summer, Christmas week). Book at least 2–4 weeks ahead. In-park rentals are first-come, first-served — arrive at opening to guarantee availability for wheelchairs and ECVs.

🛡️

Damage & Insurance

ScooterBug offers a damage waiver for $6/day covering exterior damage up to $500. Kingdom Strollers typically includes light damage protection. If renting privately, your homeowner's/travel insurance may provide some coverage — check before you go.

🔄

Park-Hopping with Rentals

Disney in-park strollers can be exchanged at any park on the same day — just show your receipt. Universal strollers are valid at both USF and IOA on the same day. Third-party rentals go wherever you go, making them ideal for park-hopping days.

💰

Multi-Day Savings

Disney's in-park multi-day stroller discount saves about $2–$4/day. But a 5-day third-party rental from Kingdom Strollers or ScooterBug (ECV) typically saves 30–50% vs. daily in-park rentals — plus you use it at the hotel, not just the park.

⚖️

Weight Limits

Disney single strollers are for kids 50 lbs or less; doubles for 100 lbs combined. SeaWorld ECVs support up to 350 lbs. ScooterBug and Cloud of Goods offer heavy-duty ECVs supporting up to 400 lbs — check when booking if needed.

🌧️

Rain Cover & Accessories

Florida afternoon storms are real. Kingdom Strollers includes a free rain cover with every rental. In-park strollers don't come with rain covers — bring your own or buy one at park gift shops. Consider a cup holder attachment for long park days.
